Sealants

For patients 17 and under, we offer the placement of sealants on all permanent molars. Sealants are a tooth colored filling material that fills in the deep grooves on the chewing surface of molars to help prevent tooth decay. Once plaque and other bacteria get into the crevices, your toothbrush may not be able to thoroughly clean and cavities may arise. Sealants help to combat this, but they are not a guarantee against decay.
